Russia's Lukoil, Polyplastic establish joint venture for producing polymer pipes in Kogalym with capacity of 500 km a year, launch set for 2026
MOSCOW. Dec 17 (Interfax) - Kogalym Polymer Pipe Plant LLC (KPPP) was registered on December 16 in Kogalym, according to materials from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities.
The founders of the company are EKTO LLC, which holds 64.9% of shares and whose beneficiary is Yusuf Alekperov, Lukoil-West Siberia LLC (25.1%) and Polyplastic Group LLC (10%). The charter capital of KPPP is 100 million rubles.
The plant will produce flexible polymer-reinforced pipes for the oil and gas industry, Polyplastic Group LLC's press service told Interfax. The plant's design capacity is 500 km of Polyfibron polymer-reinforced pipes with a diameter of up to 150 mm per year. The plant is scheduled to launch in 2026.
"The plant is being built in the interests of EKTO LLC and Lukoil LLC , which are also the main shareholders. The role of Polyplastic Group LLC in the project is to provide technological support for the production process, taking into account our expertise in high-tech pipe production," Polyplastic Group LLC Board Chairman Lev Gorilovsky said.
The estimated investment in the project's implementation will stand at up to 4 billion rubles, with Polyplastic Group LLC holding a 10% stake.
EKTO LLC is an investment company with interests in small FMCG assets (production of energy drinks), information technology, oilfield services, and industrial assets, including ownership of a shipbuilding company.
Polyplastic Group is the largest manufacturer of polymer pipes in Russia and the EAEU for external water supply and sewerage networks, gas distribution, hot water supply and heating. The group has pipe factories in Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan with a total capacity of about 750,000 tonnes.
