Agroeco Group's meat processing plant begins exporting pork to Serbia
VORONEZH. Dec 13 (Interfax) - Agroeco Group has shipped the first consignment of products from its meat processing plant to Serbia, the group's press service said.
Several containers of products have been shipped, including ham and ham shoulder.
As noted, Serbia is the third country to which Agroeco has begun shipping its products since the beginning of the year.
Agroeco started shipping products to the Republic of Congo, Africa, in August and to India in early December this year.
Agroeco said that the group has been exporting products since 2020, with the first consignments shipped to Georgia, Armenia, and Belarus. The company boosted exports of pork 4.1-fold year-on-year to over 15,000 tonnes in 2023.
As reported, Agroeco Group's meat processing plant in the Voronezh Region boosted production nearly 10% year-on-year to 163,000 tonnes of products in consumer and industrial packaging in January-October 2024. The meat processing plant increased output 15% to 197,000 tonnes in live weight in the reporting period.
As noted, the company is continuing to boost the production volumes of processed products, particularly pork, under its own brand in line with the planned development strategy.
The technical launch of the meat processing plant occurred in September 2021, with investments in the project estimated at 15.1 billion rubles. Agroeco Group plans to ramp up the production of finished products 42% to 205,000 tonnes in 2024.
Established in 2009 in Voronezh, Agroeco Group has production sites in the Voronezh and Tula regions. The group includes 49 pig-breeding sites, a selection and genetic center, five feed mills, a crop cluster, motor transport enterprises, a dairy farm, a meat processing plant, and a network of branded stores.
