Ukrainian government approves 40-mln-euro loan from EIB, $485-mln grant from IBRD
MOSCOW. Dec 10 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian government has approved taking a 40-million-euro loan from the European Investment Bank (EIB) and a $485-million grant from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD).
The government made the decision at a meeting on Tuesday, Ukrainian media said, citing Government Representative to the Parliament Taras Melnichuk.
The government confirmed the relevance of a 40-million-euro loan from the European Investment Bank for a system of emergency assistance to the population using the single telephone number 112 and accommodating needs of persons with disabilities.
It also approved a grant of up to $485 million from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and the International Development Association, administering multi-donor funds co-financing the project of support for public expenses to ensure sustainable public administration in Ukraine.
