Syria facing complicated period, Moscow to engage with all regional countries on the problem - Peskov

MOSCOW. Dec 9 (Interfax) - Russia will engage in dialogue with Turkey and other regional actors on the situation in Syria, as the latter is facing a complicated period of instability, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said on Monday.

Asked by journalists to describe, in particular, Turkey's role in the latest events in Syria, Peskov said, "We're in dialogue with Ankara and other regional states, including on the affairs in Syria."

"Syria is facing a very complicated period involving instability, and certainly, it's very important to maintain dialogue with all regional countries. We firmly intend to do that," he said.

"We're going to consult and analyze the situation," Peskov said.
