Ukrainian govt approves raising $1 bln grant from IBRD to support budget

MOSCOW. Dec 6 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian government has approved raising a $1 billion grant from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) to support the country's budget.

This decision was taken at a government meeting on Thursday, the government's representative to the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnichuk was cited by Ukrainian media saying.

In particular, the government recognized the advisability of raising a budget support grant from the IBRD, which acts as the executive body of the Financial Intermediary Fund for Ukraine, to co-finance the second program in support of the Growth Foundations Development Policy in the amount $1 billion.
