Russia's Rosneft plans to commission first stage of Vostok Oil project in 2026 - CEO Sechin

RAS AL KHAIMAH. Dec 5 (Interfax) - Rosneft has planned to commission the first stage of the Vostok Oil project in 2026, CEO Igor Sechin said at the 17th Verona Eurasian Economic Forum.

"We have planned the first stage of Vostok Oil for 2026," Sechin said.

Vostok Oil is Rosneft's flagship asset that develops oilfields in Taimyr. The project's resource base totals 6.5 billion tonnes of premium low-sulfur oil. There are 52 licensed areas in the north of the Krasnoyarsk Territory and in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, where 13 oil and gas fields are located, including the fields of the Vankor and Payakha clusters.
