AlfaStrakhovanie acquires Family Doctor clinics, possibly for 700 mln rubles - paper
MOSCOW. Dec 4 (Interfax) - Russian insurer AlfaStrakhovanie has acquired the Family Doctor chain of private medical clinics in a deal possibly worth 700 million rubles, national daily Kommersant reported on Wednesday.
The insurer's subsidiary Medas (Meditsina AlfaStrakhovanie LLC) became the sole owner of Family Doctor MC LLC, the management company of the clinic chain, on December 2, the Unified State Register of Legal Entities showed. Family Doctor was previously 32.9% owned by Alexander Shlychkov, 28% by Andrei Degtyarev, 23.5% by Alexei Vetrov and 15.6% by Igor Zhminko.
Medas CEO Norair Koloyan declined to disclose the terms of the deal.
Andrei Degtyarev is the co-owner of Ales Capital, which previously advised VIYM, an investment company founded by Andrei Yakunin, the son of former Russian Railways (RZD) head Vladimir Yakunin. VIYM acquired a blocking stake in Family Doctor in 2014.
Degtyarev declined to comment and redirected questions to AlfaStrakhovanie, while VIYM said it has no ties to the asset or the deal.
