Russian govt extends food import embargo until end of 2026, includes New Zealand in list - resolution

MOSCOW. Nov 29 (Interfax) - The Russian government has approved the resolution to extend the food import embargo until the end of 2026, with the corresponding document signed on November 28, 2024.

The resolution has also expanded the list of countries subject to the food import embargo to include New Zealand in addition to the United States, the European Union, Canada, Britain, Australia, Norway, Ukraine, Albania, Montenegro, Iceland, and Liechtenstein.

The products prohibited for import still include meat, sausages, fish, seafood, vegetables, fruit, dairy products, and other products.
