Russian deputy PM, Mali's interim president discuss cooperation
MOSCOW. Nov 29 (Interfax) - Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak visited Mali as the Russian president's direction, the government's press service said in a statement.
It was Novak's first visit to Mali. The Russian delegation also included representatives of business circles.
Novak met with Mali's interim Prime Minister Abdoulaye Maig and a number of government ministers and held talks with the country's interim President Assimi Goita in Bamako.
The parties discussed trade and economic ties and cooperation in the energy sector, transport, infrastructure, agriculture and the extraction of mineral resources.
