Russia's BRICS partners interested in standards in digital technologies, green construction - Rosstandart
ST. PETERSBURG. Nov 28 (Interfax) - BRICS countries have been showing interest in several standards developed in Russia, particularly in the area of digital technologies and green construction, Federal Agency on Technical Regulation and Metrology (Rosstandart) head Anton Shalayev told Interfax.
"Russia's partner countries are interested in our development of standards in the area of digital technologies. A national standard for the digital twin of a product appeared in Russia in 2021. Many people have shown interest in the standard, and it has now been adopted in China. [...] Our BRICS partners are also interested in our standards in the area of green construction," Shalayev said on the sidelines of the Russian Industrialist forum in St. Petersburg.
Rosstandart has also continued actively collaborating with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).
"The Russian Federation has retained its membership in the main international standardization organizations of ISO and IEC. It is most important that Russian experts continue actively participating in the work on international standardization in a number of areas. Seven international standards were adopted last year based on Russian GOST, which was a record. This is the work of Russian experts in various areas, for example, methods of cyber security for the control systems of nuclear power plants," Shalayev said.
