Evraz ZSMK manufactures switch point rails for high-speed railways at 29 meters in length

KEMEROVO. Nov 27 (Interfax) - Novokuznetsk-based JSC Evraz United West Siberia Metals Plant (Evraz ZSMK ), part of Evraz, has manufactured OR65 switch point rails at 29.34 meters in length for the first time, Evraz's Siberia regional center for corporate relations (RCCO) said.

"They will be used to manufacture a pilot batch of switch point rails for the Moscow-St. Petersburg high-speed railway at the Murom switch plant line," the company said.

The RCCO said that Evraz ZSMK produces various types of switch rails up to 25 meters in length. In 2022, the metals plant certified DT350VS400 rails intended for passenger transportation on the high-speed railway.
