Caspian Pipeline Consortium transports over 53 mln tonnes of oil in January-October

MOSCOW. Nov 27 (Interfax) - The Caspian Pipeline Consortium transported over 53 million tonnes of oil in January-October 2024, the consortium said in a press release following the meetings of the governing bodies.

"The CPC exported over 53 million tonnes of oil From the beginning of the year to October 31, with the volumes loaded onto 492 tankers, which is two ships more than last year's figure," according to the press release.

The CPC previously notably transported 48.48 million tonnes of oil in January-September, meaning that shipments totaled around 4.52 million tonnes in October.

The consortium has not disclosed data for January-September 2023. The CPC transported and shipped 63.47 million tonnes of oil overall, up 8.1%, for export in 2023. The updated forecast envisages transporting around 65.2 million tonnes of oil in 2024, which is 7% lower than the plan of over 70 million tonnes overall.
