Gazprom, Chisinau to continue discussing options for Russian gas supplies to Moldova, debt settlement

MOSCOW. Nov 25 (Interfax) - CEO of Russia's Gazprom Alexei Miller and Moldovan Energy Minister Victor Parlicov held a working meeting in St. Petersburg on Monday, Gazprom said.

"The parties discussed key issues of cooperation in the gas sector. In particular, they agreed to continue discussing options for organizing Russian natural gas supplies to Moldova from January 1, 2025, as well as ways to settle JSC Moldovagaz's debt to Gazprom Group," the Russian company said in a statement after the meeting.

At the meeting, the Moldovan delegation also introduced candidates for seats on the Moldovagaz management board.

The Moldovan side said ahead of the visit to St. Petersburg that the meeting's agenda would include gas deliveries to Transdniestria, ways to repay Moldovagaz's debt of over $700 million and agreeing on the candidacy of the Moldovagaz board's new chairman.
