Russian authorities assign responsibility for new gas pipelines to Gazprom, including for Volkhov-Murmansk project

MOSCOW. Nov 18 (Interfax) - The Russian government has designated Gazprom as responsible for all new trunk gas pipeline projects, including construction of the Volkhov-Murmansk pipeline. The relevant government resolution, no. 3302-r dated November 16, 2024, was published on the official portal of legal information.

It was previously reported that the pipeline would be constructed by Novatek , which also plans to build an LNG plant in the Murmansk region.
