Oil production at Tengiz falls 28%-30% due to repairs - Kazakh Energy Ministry
ASTANA. Nov 18 (Interfax) - Oil production at the Tengiz deposit in Western Kazakhstan fell 28%-30% due to repair work begun in October on account of damage that occurred during production, the Kazakh Energy Ministry's press service said.
"Production [at Tengiz] fell 28%-30%, which corresponds to 61,000-63,000 tonnes a day," it said.
Production at the Tengiz plant was partly suspended on October 26 to carry out repair work on heat recovery boiler E-401A of installation 400, it said.
"Localized through corrosion damage was discovered during an equipment inspection," it said.
