Azerbaijan boosts gas output 3.5% YoY in 10M 2024 - Energy Ministry

BAKU. Nov 18 (Interfax) - Azerbaijan boosted gas output 3.5% year-on-year to 41.5 billion cubic meters in January-October 2024, according to the Energy Ministry's latest data.

The Shah Deniz field ramped up production 5% year-on-year to 22.9 bcm of gas in January-October; the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli block boosted output 1.9% year-on-year to 10.9 bcm of associated gas; and the Absheron field had output of 1.3 bcm of natural gas.

The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) saw production at its fields decline 9.9% year-on-year to 6.4 bcm of gas in the period.

As reported, Azerbaijan ramped up output 3.8% year-on-year to 48.497 bcm of gas in 2023, and the government forecasts production of 49.064 bcm of gas in 2024, in line with last year.
