Raiffeisen Bank guarantees 2 billion hryvni in bills of exchange to Ukrainian farmers in 2024

MOSCOW. Nov 18 (Interfax) - Raiffeisen Bank (Kiev) has guaranteed 2 billion hryvni in bills of exchange for Ukrainian agricultural producers since the beginning of 2024, Ukrainian media said, citing a bank press release.

"Ukrainian farmers use bills of exchange to purchase plant protection products, fertilizers, seeds, fuel and lubricants," the press release said.

The agricultural loan portfolio, including trade financing, has totaled 24.8 billion hryvni, as of November 1, 2024, it said.

According to the National Bank of Ukraine, Raiffeisen ranked fourth by total assets (225.69 billion hryvni) among 62 banks operating in Ukraine as September 1, 2024.
