Belarus boosts industrial output 6.2% in January-October
MINSK. Nov 18 (Interfax) - Belarus boosted the volume of industrial output 6.2% year-on-year to 168.1 billion Belarusian rubles in January-October 2024 in monetary terms, the National Statistical Committee, Belstat, said.
Specifically, mining grew 4% year-on-year, manufacturing increased 6.3% year-on-year, and supplying electricity, gas, steam, and hot water rose 6.4% year-on-year in 10M 2024 among the types of economic activity.
As reported, Belarus boosted industrial output 6.4% year-on-year in January-September and 7.1% year-on-year in the first half of the year.
Belarus ramped up industrial output 7.7% year-on-year in 2023 following a downturn of 5.4% year-on-year in 2022.
The official exchange rate as on November 18, 2024, is 3.39 Belarusian rubles/$1.
