Department of State updates recommendations for U.S. citizens in Ukraine
MOSCOW. Nov 15 (Interfax) - The United States Department of State has updated its recommendations for U.S. business associations and U.S. citizens traveling to Ukraine, Ukrainian Ambassador in Washington Oksana Markarova said.
"Level 4 (do not travel), which is valid for the whole country, has been replaced for nine Ukrainian regions with Level 3, which warns U.S. citizens of dangers but considerably simplifies visits to Ukraine for representatives of business, organizations and institutions," Ukrainian media outlets quoted Markarova as saying in a statement on social media.
Level 3 now applies to Ukraine's western regions, i.e. the Volyn, Lvov, Chernovtsy, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankovsk, Ternopol, Rovno, Khmelnitsky and Zhitomir regions, she said.
