H&N considering producing butter at its plants in Russia
ST. PETERSBURG. Nov 14 (Interfax) - JSC H&N, Health & Nutrition, which a year ago combined the assets of France's Danone that exited Russia, is considering the possibility of organizing the production of butter at its factories, CEO Yakub Zakriyev said during Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev's visit to the Petmol Dairy Plant, a branch of the company, in St. Petersburg.
"We are already considering the production of butter at our sites, and we will definitely return to this issue to decide," Zakriyev said regarding Patrushev' request to evaluate the option to install a line to produce butter.
Patrushev said that imports of products from friendly countries have been opened in order to satisfy the increased demand for butter in Russia, while the country is interested in developing its own producers.
