Turkey's Hayat launches 147 mln ruble paper towel line at plant in Russia's Kaluga - authorities

KALUGA. Nov 14 (Interfax) - Hayat Russia, part of Turkey's Hayat Holding, has launched a new automated line for producing paper towels at the Borovskaya site in the Kaluga special economic zone, Deputy Kaluga region Governor Vladimir Popov said on his Telegram channel.

Investment in the line totaled 147 million rubles.

The paper towels will be produced from domestic raw materials.

"The launch of the new production line strengthens the company's leading position in its segment within the Russian market. Sanitary and hygiene products made in Kaluga can be found in most regions of Russia and abroad," he said.

Hayat launched a plant for producing paper and hygiene products in the Kaluga special economic zone in 2021. The enterprise produces toilet paper, paper towels and tissues as well as paper substrate.

Turkey's Hayat Group specializes in producing cleaning products, sanitary and hygiene products and other items.
