Soyuz-2.1b rocket brought to Vostochny Cosmodrome to launch Aist-2T satellites - Roscosmos
MOSCOW. Nov 13 (Interfax) - A train carrying component parts of a Soyuz-2.1b rocket has arrived at the Vostochny Cosmodrome under the launch program for Aist-2T remote sensing satellites, Roscosmos said on Wednesday.
"A train carrying component parts of a Soyuz-2.1b rocket and the fairing shell from the Progress Rocket and Space Center in Samara arrived at the Ledyanaya station last night under the Aist-2T launch program," Roscosmos said.
Cosmodrome specialists will accept the containers with rocket component parts and take them to the technical compound's warehouse, it said.
Aist-2T satellites make stereometric (volumetric) filming of the Earth surface. The data from the satellites is planned to be used to create a database of 3D images of the Earth surface and to monitor emergencies.
