Sunflower oil price reaches 27,500 hryvni per tonne in Ukraine, meal getting cheaper
MOSCOW. Nov 12 (Interfax) - Sunflower prices grew last week to around 25,000-27,500 hryvni per tonne CPT due to active procurement and the amount of raw material supply on the market, Ukrainian media said, citing a statement by the Pusk analytical cooperative under the Ukrainian Agri Council.
"A number of companies said there was a fairly good supply of oilseeds, while some small enterprises suspended operations until the price situation on the market improved," the statement said.
Sunflower oil prices continued to grow on the domestic market, while a significant decline in sunflower meal prices continued, it said.
Refineries sought to maintain balance, sometimes refused to sell meal on the domestic market amid rather high oil offer prices and left trading venues, the statement said.
