EAEU countries to align legislation on aircraft airworthiness - EEC
MINSK. Nov 11 (Interfax) - The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is working to align legislation in the area of aircraft airworthiness, and it will be brought in compliance with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)'s standards by January 1, 2025, the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC)'s press service said on Monday.
"Creating a unified market of services and making it as seamless as possible is nearly the top priority for the EAEU's transport companies. The project is also ambitious because it involves several types of transport at once. For instance, there is an agreement between the EAEU countries to develop air transport so that the transport policy is coordinated and a unified market of services is being gradually shaped at the same time. This essentially refers to civil aviation," the statement said.
The EAEU countries have recently agreed to harmonize legislation in the area of the aircraft airworthiness.
