Azerbaijan's SOCAR attracts UAE's IntelliGrid to implement smart system to manage gas network
BAKU. Nov 11 (Interfax) - The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and the United Arab Emirates' IntelliGrid, an Esyasoft and Presight joint venture, have signed an agreement to implement an ultra-modern system to manage Azerbaijan's gas network, SOCAR said in a press release.
The gas-network management system is planned to be implemented throughout the service area of Azerigas, part of the SOCAR structure. The document indicates that the capabilities of IntelliGrid AI will be used to integrate data analysis, predictive maintenance and real-time monitoring into the gas distribution network.
"This should optimize gas consumption, minimize losses, and improve overall operational efficiency," according to the press release.
SOCAR president Rovshan Najaf and IntelliGrid CEO Bipin Chandra signed the document on Monday during the UN Climate Change Conference COP29.
