Putin expands list of organizations independently determining scope of disclosed info

MOSCOW. Nov 11 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree to include PJSC Novatek and its LNG projects, as well as PJSC Surgutneftegas , in the list of organizations with the right to determine independently the list of disclosed information.

The corresponding amendments to the presidential decree dated November 27, 2023, have been published on the internet portal of legal information.

Five more companies have been added to the list of organizations with the right to determine independently the list of disclosed information - Surgutneftegas, Novatek and its LNG projects OJSC Yamal LNG and Arctic LNG 2 LLC, and the Lazurit Central Design Bureau.

There are now 118 organizations on the list. The first 50 companies were added a year ago, and the list has since been expanded several times.

The decree allows listed companies to "independently determine the composition and/or scope of information subject to disclosure and/or presentation." Companies can exercise this right if disclosing or providing information would or could lead to the imposition of sanctions against Russian economic entities and/or other entities. However, undisclosed information must still be submitted to the Central Bank of Russia.

Information withheld under this decree but provided to the CBR, federal executive authorities, or other entities including at their request, is not subject to publication, including in government information systems or other sources, the document said.
