Ukrgazvydobuvannya commissions new well with daily flow rate of 110,000 cubic meters of gas
MOSCOW. Nov 11 (Interfax) - Ukrgazvydobuvannya (UGV) has commissioned a new appraisal and development well 5,920 meters deep with a daily flow rate of 110,000 cubic meters of gas, Ukrainian media reported, quoting the Naftogaz Group's press office.
The project team plans to sink two more new appraisal and production wells at this field.
"We have a good result thanks to modern approaches to field development. It should be mentioned that the field where the well was drilled is already more than 45 years old," said Naftogaz CEO Alexei Chernyshov.
UGV raised commercial gas production 6.5% year-on-year in January-September 2024 to 10.4 billion cubic meters and liquid hydrocarbon output 26% to 372,000 tonnes. It produced 13.224 bcm of commercial gas in 2023, up 679 mcm from 2022.
Naftogaz owns 100% of UGV.
