Russia, Venezuela sign documents on cooperation in energy, IT, car industry
MOSCOW. Nov 11 (Interfax) - Russia and Venezuela have signed a roadmap for cooperation in geology and hydrocarbon extraction in 2024-2026 at the 18th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission, the Venezuelan national oil company Petroleos de Venezuela S.A. (PDVSA) said.
No details of the document were provided.
PDVSA signed a number of memoranda on mutual understanding with Russian companies, including with Roszarubezhneft on training and technical consultations in the field of integrated security in the energy sector, with TNG-Group (Tagras's division for mineral exploration and prospecting) on providing oilfield services and technologies for enhancing oil recovery at extra-heavy oil fields, with RT-Project Technologies (part of Rostec) on industrial safety in the oil industry, and with Kazan Federal University on training and consulting in oil, gas and petrochemical industry.
There is also a project of building an assembly plant in Venezuela for special vehicles and buses on chassis manufactured by KAMAZ . The carmaker signed a corresponding memorandum with Venezuelan JC International 2004 C.A.
In addition, the Venezuelan airline Conviasa will explore cooperation with RT-Project Technologies in information technology in the aviation sector.
The 18th meeting of the Russian-Venezuelan High-Level Intergovernmental Commission was held in Caracas on November 7.
