PM Mishustin to lead Russian delegation at COP29 climate conference in Baku - Putin

SOCHI. Nov 7 (Interfax) - Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin will lead a Russian delegation at the COP29 climate conference in Baku, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

Putin explained this at a plenary session of the Valdai International Discussion Club by the fact that he had recently been on a visit to Azerbaijan. "Aliyev invited me [to the conference], but I was there not so long ago, and President [Ilham] Aliyev and I agreed that Russia will be represented at the high level and that Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin will attend this event," Putin said.

Azerbaijan will host the UN Climate Conference (COP29) on November 11-22.
