Ozon opening fulfillment center in Perm costing 4.2 bln rubles

PERM. Nov 7 (Interfax) - Ozon is launching a new logistics complex in Perm, with investment in equipment and IT infrastructure exceeding 4.2 billion rubles, the marketplace's press service said.

The logistics center should handle a full cycle of order processing, from receiving goods to forming parcels.

"Orders from the complex are to be sent to the first buyers as of November 14, and sellers should already sign up for delivery to the new logistics complex," according to the press release.

The new facility should be 40,000 square meters and double in the autumn of 2025. The fulfillment center should be able to process over 900,000 orders per day and store about 30 million products once reaching full capacity.

The press service said that Ozon's logistics infrastructure has increased over threefold over the past two years and currently exceeds three million square meters.

Ozon has 43 fulfillment centers, with over 150 sorting centers and more than 50,000 order pick-up points in Russia and the CIS countries.
