Russian agriculture minister confirms estimate for country's wheat harvest at 83 mln tonnes in 2024

MOSCOW. Nov 7 (Interfax) - Russian Agriculture Minister Oksana Luth confirmed the estimate for the country's wheat harvest in 2024 at 83 million tonnes, with the total harvest at 130 million tonnes, at a government meeting on Thursday.

"We expect the grain harvest to be 130 million tonnes in net weight this year, including 83 million tonnes of wheat," she said.

The quality of grain is higher this year compared to 2024, she said. "The quality of grain is higher than last year's. About a third of the wheat is grades 1-3," she said.
