Ukraine's DTEK invests 2.6 bln hryvni in repairs, restoration of thermal power plants in 2024

MOSCOW. Nov 5 (Interfax) - DTEK Energo invested around 2.6 billion hryvni in repairs and restoration of thermal power plants in the first ten months of 2024, Ukrainian media said, citing a company press release.

The overall investment in repairs and restoration of thermal power plants is due to reach 3.8 billion hryvni in 2024.

DTEK Energy maintains a closed cycle of electricity production from coal. The company's installed capacity in thermal electricity generation was 13.3 GW as of January 2022. A full production cycle has been created in coal mining to include coal mining and enrichment, mechanical engineering, and servicing of mining equipment.
