Turkic leaders start meeting in Bishkek

BISHKEK. Nov 6 (Interfax) - A summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) began in Bishkek on Wednesday.

The leaders of five member states, namely, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey and Uzbekistan, and the leaders of observer states Hungary and Turkmenistan will take part in the 11th meeting of the OTS Council of Heads of State, an Interfax correspondent reported.

The Bishkek declaration to formulate the organization's status will be the chief document adopted at the summit, Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubayev said. He also said the leaders would discuss cooperation in the green economy.

The summit will name Kyrgyzstan the 2025 president of the OTS.
