Supreme State Council meeting marking 25th anniversary of Russia-Belarus Union State Treaty to be held in Minsk
MINSK. Nov 5 (Interfax) - The 25th anniversary meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Russia-Belarus Union State will be held in Minsk in December.
"Our meeting is taking place ahead of the Supreme State Council meeting to be co-chaired by Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko. It will be held here in Minsk," Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said at a meeting of the Union State Council of Ministers.
According to him, the event will mark the 25th anniversary of the Union State Treaty signed on December 8, 1999.
Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko said the Supreme State Council meeting co-chaired by the two presidents was due in early December.
