Commercial Port of Vladivostok hits new monthly record for container handling in Oct

VLADIVOSTOK. Nov 5 (Interfax) - PJSC Commercial Port of Vladivostok , the largest stevedoring company at the port of Vladivostok and part of FESCO Transportation Group, handled 83,556 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) in October 2024, setting a new monthly record, the company said.

The company reached its previous record of 79,050 TEUs in July this year.

The company has not yet published statistics on cargo turnover for 10M 2024.

It was earlier reported that JSC Russian Railways set a new record of 120,100 TEUs the previous month for transporting containers from the port stations and terminals of its subsidiary, Far Eastern Railway.

Export-import container load at sea terminals in Primorye Territory stands at more than 90%, with a buildup of more than 81,000 TEUs, Far Eastern Railway said in October. Part of the cargo is sent from ports to land terminals to speed up container export. The containers are then transported via rail.

The Commercial Port's facilities are located at 15 berths in the port of Vladivostok.
