MOSCOW. Nov 5 (Interfax) - Ukraine and the World Bank have signed an almost $600-million agreement under a new program, Ukrainian media quoted Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal's statement on a social network.

"We agreed to launch it when we gathered for the Spring Meetings in Washington. The Finance Ministry and the Economy Ministry signed respective agreements with the bank today. This is about the new project, Resilient, Inclusive and Sustainable Enterprise (RISE) aimed to support small and medium-sized businesses, the green transition, better business environment, digitalization, and facilitation of the entry of new markets. The project will end in 2027 and the overall program budget is due to exceed $1 billion," Shmygal said.

The program will drastically enhance the Ukrainian economy and Ukrainian small and medium-sized companies so that they cope with current challenges, he said.
