Russia executes federal budget at deficit of 734 bln rubles in Jan-Sept - Treasury

MOSCOW. Nov 5 (Interfax) - Russia executed the federal budget at a deficit of 734.0 billion rubles in January-September 2024, the Federal Treasury posted on its website.

The Finance Ministry had preliminarily estimated the government executing the budget at a surplus of 169 billion rubles for the period.

Treasury data indicate that budget revenues totaled about 24.972 trillion rubles in 9M 2024 versus Finance Ministry data of 26.289 trillion rubles, and expenses totaled around 25.706 trillion rubles against 26.120 trillion rubles, respectively.

Russia's federal budget deficit totaled 27.6 billion rubles in 8M 2024, thereby totaling 706.4 billion rubles in September.
