Russian Emergency Situations Ministry plane evacuates some 100 Russians from Lebanon
MOSCOW. Nov 5 (Interfax) - A Russian Emergency Situations Ministry aircraft will bring around 100 Russian citizens to Moscow from Lebanon, the ministry said on Tuesday.
"A Russian Emergency Situations Ministry special flight carrying Russian citizens and their family members wishing to leave the conflict zone has departed Beirut for Moscow. Around 100 people will arrive in the Russian Federation," it said.
The evacuation has been arranged on orders from President Vladimir Putin and at Emergency Situations Minister Alexander Kurenkov's instructions, it said.
The ministry said on October 3 that it had started evacuating Russians from Lebanon by bringing 60 people from Beirut to Moscow.
