Moscow Exchange turnover up 3.4% to 140.1 trillion rubles in Oct

MOSCOW. Nov 2 (Interfax) - Total trading volume across the Moscow Exchange's markets rose 3.4% to 140.1 trillion rubles in October 2024 from 135.5 trillion rubles in October 2023, the exchange said in a press release.

Turnover grew 17.5% from 119.2 trillion rubles in September 2024.

It rose 17.1% to 1.223 quadrillion rubles in January-October 2024, from 1.044 quadrillion rubles a year previously.

The exchange stopped publishing data on currency market trading volumes starting from July 2024 - they are included in trading volume data for "Other Markets" - after the exchange and its divisions were added to the U.S. sanctions list and exchange trading in the U.S. dollar, euro and Hong Kong dollar was suspended.
