More than 150 companies to participate in Turkmentel 2024 int'l exhibit, scientific conference in Ashgabat
ASHGABAT. Nov 2 (Interfax) - Preparations are being made in Ashgabat for the 17th Turkmentel 2024 international exhibit and scientific conference, which is scheduled for November 14-16, the Neutral Turkmenistan paper reported on Saturday.
The heads and representatives of some international organizations and more than 150 companies manufacturing products and developing software, and more than 60 foreign and local companies are expected to attend the events, Mammetkhan Chakyyev, director general of the Turkmen government's Agency of Transport and Communications, said in a government meeting on Friday.
These companies will present their achievements in digital economy, cybersecurity and information protection, telecommunications, information and computer technologies, satellite communication system equipment, 5G standards for cellular communication, and other areas.
The Turkmen Communications Agency and the Universal Postal Union plan to hold a seminar titled Digital Information in the Postal System at the forum.
Besides, the results of the recent Digital Solution 2024 innovative projects contest will be summed up and a ceremony to award its winners will be conducted.
Having heard the report, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov said the country is now successfully working on introducing innovative and digital technologies.
Emphasizing that the 17th Turkmentel 2024 international exhibit and scientific conference will play a big role in the introduction of advanced innovative technologies and strengthening international cooperation on this track, the president ordered the agency's director general to prepare for the planned events well and to hold them on a high level.
