Russia boosts poultry exports 12% to 290,000 tonnes in 9M - Agroexport

MOSCOW. Nov 1 (Interfax) - Russia boosted poultry exports 12% year-on-year to around 290,000 tonnes in 9M 2024, the Agriculture Ministry's Agroexport center said, citing expert estimates.

China, Saudi Arabia, and Kazakhstan were the main buyers of Russian poultry in the period.

Agroexport preliminarily estimates that Russia's exports of poultry and edible by-products could reach 730,000 tonnes by 2030.

Russia exported 341,000 tonnes of poultry and edible by-products in 2023.

Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) data indicate that Russia increased domestic production of poultry and edible by-products 2.7% year-on-year to nearly 4 million tonnes in 9M 2024. Production rose 7.5% to 555,900 tonnes in September.
