MOSCOW. Nov 1 (Interfax) - The Russian-North Korean intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation will gather for its next regular meeting in Pyongyang in November this year, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

"The intergovernmental commission on trade-economic and scientific-technical cooperation is working on a regular basis. It met in November last year, and its next, the 11th, meeting is scheduled for the upcoming November in Pyongyang," Lavrov said while opening a meeting with North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui in Moscow on Friday.

The commission "will work out recommendations enabling us to continue consistently stepping up our trade, investment, and economic ties," he said.

Moscow values "active ties in the field of cultural and humanitarian exchanges and in education and looks forward to their continued development," Lavrov said.
