Ukrainian national postal service plans to buy 880 two-wheel electric bikes using EBRD financing
MOSCOW. Nov 1 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian national postal service Ukrposhta has announced a tender to procure 880 two-wheel electric bikes under its Logistics Development Project to be implemented in 2024-2025, Ukrainian media have reported with reference to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Client e-Procurement Portal.
"The [...] client intends to use part of the proceeds of a loan from/grant administered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development [...] towards the cost of the above named contract(s)," the invitation for tender says.
Ukrposhta plans to use two-wheel electric bikes to improve the speed and availability of its services in densely populated parts of Ukraine.
The tender's closing date is December 8, 2024.
As reported, Ukrposhta announced a tender through the EBRD Client e-Procurement Portal in early October to procure 1,745 electric tricycles under its Logistics Development Project, its closing date being November 18, 2024.
