Kazakhstan had 0.9% inflation in Oct, annual figure 8.5%

ALMATY. Nov 1 (Interfax) - Consumer price inflation in Kazakhstan rose to 0.9% in October from 0.4% in September, the Strategic Planning and Reforms Agency's National Statistics Bureau said.

Annual inflation was 8.5%, up from 8.3% in September.

Food prices increased 4.9% in annual terms, prices for non-food goods grew 7.8% and services charges went up 14.3%.

Kazakhstan had 9.8% inflation in 2023. The National Bank aims to stabilize inflation close to 5% in the medium term.
