Azerbaijan's Central Bank holds refi rate at 7.25% pa

BAKU. Nov 1 (Interfax) - The Central Bank of Azerbaijan has decided to hold the refinancing rate, or discount rate, at 7.25% per annum, the bank said in a press release.

The Central Bank said that the lower threshold of the interest rate corridor has been retained at 6.25% pa, and the upper threshold at 8.25% pa.

This is the Central Bank's fourth successive decision to hold the rate. Prior to that, it had lowered the rate three times in 2024, each time by 25 basis points.

The bank's next rate-setting meeting takes place on December 18.
