Tokayev promises investors 'unified interpretation' of all debated taxation issues

ASTANA. Oct 31 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan is committed to liberalization of the economy and is ready to provide to foreign investors a unified interpretation of all debated tax administration issues, including those issues that were brought up by investors.

"Generally, my government and I myself are fully committed to further liberalization of the economy," Tokayev said at a meeting of the Foreign Investors' Council on Thursday.

The Foreign Investors' Council should help "balance between two separate phenomena: rapid changes in the world and current reforms and transformations in Kazakhstan," he said.

"I believe the council should take this reality into account. To do that, we need to re-set our common efforts. I am committed to continuing constant dialogue between the council members and bodies of state authority, which are working to improve the investment climate and implement new initiatives and projects. We are still focused on developing policies and consistent standards," Tokayev said.
