Restrictions on flights to, through Israel, Iran, Iraq from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. extended until Nov 24 - Federal Air Transport Agency
MOSCOW. Oct 31 (Interfax) - The Federal Air Transport Agency has extended until November 24 the validity of NOTAM, recommending that Russian airlines fly to and through Israel, Iraq and Iran only between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m., an agency representative told Interfax.
"The Federal Air Transport Agency has extended the NOTAM validity until November 24," he said.
Iran launched hundreds of missiles at Israel on October 1. The Federal Air Transport Agency recommended at first that Russian airlines abstain from flying to and through Israel, Iran and Iraq. Later on, it eased the restrictions and permitted flights between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. The restrictions were in effect until November 3.
There are direct flights from Russia to Tel Aviv and Tehran. Russian airlines fly to the United Arab Emirates via Iran and to the Seychelles via Iraq.
