Kazakhstan to cut oil output to "more than" 88 mln tonnes from planned 90.5 mln tonnes

ASTANA. Oct 31 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan plans to reduce oil production to "more than 88 million tonnes" this year from the previously planned 90.5 million tonnes, Energy Minister Almasadam Satkaliyev said.

"The amount [will be] more than 88 million tonnes, but less than the 90.5 million tonnes we planned earlier," Satkaliyev told reporters on Thursday.

He said the final production figure will depend on weather conditions and the early completion of an overhaul at the Kashagan field.
