MOSCOW. Oct 30 (Interfax) - Russian GDP grew an estimated 2.9% year-on-year in September after rising 2.4% in August, the Economic Development Ministry said in a report on the current situation in the economy on Wednesday.
GDP grew 3.4% in July, 3.2% in June, 4.7% in May, 4.6% in April, 4.2% in March, 7.6% in February and 4.8% in January.
Seasonally adjusted month-on-month growth was 0.5% in September after this fell 0.4% in August, the ministry said.
The ministry estimated year-on-year GDP growth at 4.0% in January-September. GDP growth slowed to 2.9% year-on-year in Q3 from 4.1% in Q2 and 5.4% in Q1.
Year-on-year GDP growth had slowed in August mainly due to a 14.2% drop in agricultural output caused by delays with the harvest campaign in some regions, however agriculture grew slightly in September, by 0.2%.
