Kazakhstan's Kashagan field completes maintenance, resumes oil production - Energy Ministry

ASTANA. Oct 30 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan's largest oil field, Kashagan, resumed production on October 29 after maintenance was completed, the country's Energy Ministry told Interfax.

"The field has resumed operations and produced the first oil yesterday", the ministry said.

The field is so far producing "not at full capacity" and operations should resume in full on November 1, it said.

Scheduled maintenance at the Kashagan field started on October 7.

Energy Minister Almasadam Satkaliyev had said the maintenance would take 30-40 days, so it has finished early.
